The Role of the Project Manager
The Project Manager role requires the ability to empathize with the client, the creativity needed to develop an architectural project that meets the client’s expectations, and the technical knowledge necessary to plan all phases of the project. This includes budgeting, supplier orders, progress monitoring, and final on-site delivery.
Key competencies include:
- Understanding trade fairs: what they are, their purpose, and how they work
- Different ways for companies to participate in trade fairs
- Use of the SEM – Smart Event Management platform, developed by BD Expo for managing trade fair events
- Client management, including needs analysis and requirement assessment
- Exhibition design and architectural development:
- Proficiency in REVIT – Autodesk, dedicated to architectural design
- Project budgeting and planning:
- Knowledge of industrial accounting management software
- Supplier orders and production management
- Handling forms and certifications required by trade fair organizations
- Maintaining client relationships throughout the project’s progress
- Ensuring correct execution of the exhibition setup and final handover to the client
- Final project closure report
